Autumn Second Half Term Homework - 09/11/2016

Please find attached the homework for the second Autumn half term (this has gone out it homework books along with feedback forms). I was amazed by the quality and scope of the Africa homework and I have included the feedback in all of the books that I got back. Please make sure that the books come in with the projects or it can be hard to remember exactly who shared what.

Interfaith Week - Hinduism - 20/10/2016

The end of our Hindu packed "Interfaith Week" also marks the end of our first half term back at school. As you have probably already been shown, we spent some time in class looking at Mehndi designs and trying to recreate some of our own. All of Ash Class has shown passion and understanding this week, and we couldn't be prouder of them.

Summer Holiday Extras

This post is coming a week early, before it gets very hectic with the summer performance etc. so please still send children in next week still!

I would like to thank everyone for the brilliant time that Ash Class have had this year. While you have all earned a rest this summer holiday, if you find yourself with a bit of time to kill on a drizzly August day please check out some of the games attached here. They cover all of the core subject areas within school in a fun way.

I have also included an Ash Class Autumn Reading challenge, this challenge is completely optional and includes a range of age appropriate books from a range of genres. The challenge list will be given out in September to tick off as you go but there is nothing wrong with getting a head start!

Have a super summer!

Shugborough Hall Residential Visit

I have included all the photos taken on the school camera during the Ash Class residential. Sadly, there was a problem with the camera's memory card and I couldn't take any more pictures. I speak for all of the staff when I say that the children's behavior and energy made the trip truly fantastic. Thank you to everyone involved at all stages!

More Music with Mr Wysome

In Ash class we have been linking our music lessons to our history topic of the Vikings. I have spent the weekend with songs of gods and goblins in my head and I am sure that some of the children have as well. If you would like to look at any of the video clips that accompany the songs then you can find them here:

Below you can find little snippet from today's music lesson.

We have been doing some work looking at the 3 R's. Usually at Barrow RRR means read, reflect and respond but in Ash class we have been learning to reduce, reuse and recycle!
